Justice & Peace Group

The Justice and Peace Group has been working in St Alban’s Parish for nearly 40
years and has a co-ordinator and a core group of about 8 people and is always
looking for new members and especially now as our age profile is much getting
older.

For the size of the group we punch well above our weight and are known as an
active group with local churches and the national and north west J&P Network.
As a group we try to understand the meaning of justice in the light of the Gospel and
Catholic Social Teaching and to raise awareness, our own and others’, of
instances of injustice and need in the world and ways of meeting them.

We seek to discover and promote ways in which we can respond in the hope of
building a better world. We are very much about taking action. We try to understand
the meaning of justice in the light of the Gospel and Catholic Social Teaching and to
raise awareness – our own and others’- of the instances of injustice and need in the
world and of ways of meeting them.

Everyone is welcome to any of the activities throughout the year.
