Caritas is part of a worldwide network. It is a social action and social justice agency of which the Diocese of Shrewsbury is one of the participants seeking to develop the Church’s social mission. Under its umbrella Caritas supports many services and projects which aim to empower children and families experience fullness of life with anything from complex needs to friendship and companionship. Within the Diocese of Shrewsbury, St. Alban’s supports Caritas fundraising in many ways, one of which is having a home collection box which is emptied locally twice yearly.
