Prayer Vigil for Peace & Christian Unity

In 2025 Peace Sunday will fall on Sun 19 January and the theme chosen by Pope Francis is ‘Forgive us our trespasses: grant us your peace’

To mark Peace Sunday, St Albans’ Justice & Peace Group will be organising a Prayer Vigil on Saturday 18 January, 8-9 pm at
St Alban’s Church. It will be an opportunity to reflect on Pope Francis message, and the call on all of us to be, or become peacemakers.

In a world hungry for revenge and where ‘sorry’ seems to be the hardest word, Pope Francis has boldly chosen ‘FORGIVENESS’ as the central theme for World Peace Day 2025.
