Foodbank Collection

This is St Alban’s Parish first Silklife Foodbank collection of 2024 and we expect it to be the largest ever as we prepare to share our resources with our community as part of our Lenten almsgiving.
We measure our giving by weight of white rhinos and last year St Alban’s parishioners donated almost 2 white rhinos (7000kg) of food over two collections. In 2024, we aim to donate 2.5 white rhinos – that’s 2,000 bags of groceries!
We thank our brothers and sisters in faith from the Silklife Church who run the Foodbank and co-ordinate the redistribution of resources for the people of Macclesfield.
